Image Inspiration

A ring of teeth

cat whiskers

a teapot sails on the dark waters

in the dark night

I think being lost at sea

would be a worse fate than being swallowed

Look at all the company!

The mouth and throat, really just an auditorium

For the fish, the bird, and the teapot

to stage plays.

Modernize the Muse

As part of the Creative Writing Post-Session course, students were asked to “modernize their muses:” to describe their inspiration as a living, breathing person.

Summer Reading

Looking for something to read over these long, horrid summer months?  These are a few of the most popular books from EOSA, room E1.  Student reviews coming soon.

  1. Retaliation by Yasmin Shiraz. This novel made Kayla stand up in the middle of the class and explain why everyone should read it.  Students have been passing it around in the hallways.  Highly recommended.
  2. Lady Q by Raymundo Sanchez and Sonia Rodriguez.  Recommended by Claudia, this nonfiction book tells the story of a former Latin Queen.
  3. Venomous by Christopher Krovatin. I’m not really sure what this book is about.  But Alex, Rayshoun, and Demetrius asked for more books like it…
